Everything you need to get started with the A.S.T.R.A. system
A.S.T.R.A. mount requirements for compatible telescopes:
The A.S.T.R.A. mount supports telescopes up to 8 kg fully loaded. This includes the optical tube, diagonal, eyepiece, and any accessories. Exceeding this limit may compromise tracking accuracy and mount longevity.
Compatible eyepiece barrels are 1.25" (31.75 mm) and 2" (50.8 mm). If a telescope with a 2" eyepiece barrel is used, a 2"-1.25" adapter will be required.
Optimal focal ratio range is f/5 to f/15. Faster optics (f/5–f/7) are well-suited for wide-field and DSO imaging. Slower optics (f/10–f/15) excel at planetary and lunar observation.
Follow these steps to set up the A.S.T.R.A. system:

The A.S.T.R.A. system can be used during the day for solar observation and terrestrial viewing.
Solar Observation
Warning: Never look at the Sun through a telescope without a certified solar filter. Attach a full-aperture solar filter to the front of the OTA before pointing at the Sun. The A.S.T.R.A. solar tracking mode will follow the Sun automatically once engaged.

Dark Adaptation
Allow 20–30 minutes for your eyes to adjust to the dark. Use a red flashlight to preserve night vision when checking equipment. The A.S.T.R.A. display can be dimmed or switched to night-mode red.
Recommended Targets
Start with the Moon and bright planets (Jupiter, Saturn). Progress to deep-sky objects such as the Orion Nebula (M42), Andromeda Galaxy (M31), and the Pleiades (M45) as you gain experience with the mount's GoTo catalog.
